Robbie Nicol is an experienced drummer based across Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland. With extensive studio and live performance experience Robbie works across a range of genres from metal to alt pop and is always involved in, working on, and creating new musical and artistic projects.

Robbie is currently the drummer for Berta Kennedy (alt pop) and Sunspots. (progressive/post/math rock) and is actively gigging around Scotland as well as recording and producing material for and with each band.

With many appearances on albums, EP’s and singles combined with his extensive live performance experience, Robbie has created a name for himself as a versatile and extremely reliable drummer that can tailor drum parts to the exact needs and wants of any artist or client. By taking an approach that involves an open mind (and potentially throwing the rule book out the window) Robbie enjoys the challenge of working with collaborators to find fresh drum grooves and sounds that add rhythmic dimension to songs and create the necessary energy that the situation requires.
